The Victims statistical database describes all victims of crimes, offenses, or contraventions (excluding traffic offenses and contraventions for offenses recorded by the National Gendarmerie) committed in France and recorded by the police and gendarmerie services. The Victims statistical database covers both the main offenses and the secondary offenses suffered by victims. If the same victim has suffered several offenses, they will appear as many times in the Victims statistical database with the characteristics of each offense suffered. The Victims statistical database includes information on the residential address, gender, age, and nationality of individual victims. It also covers legal entity victims. It provides information on the offenses suffered (nature of the offense – NATINF –, intra-family nature or not of the offense, etc.).
