Defendants Statistical Database

10 avril 2025

The Defendants statistical database describes all suspects identified by the security forces. A person is suspected when, during the investigation, serious or consistent evidence suggests their participation as a perpetrator or accomplice in the commission of a crime or offense (excluding traffic offenses and fines for offenses recorded by the National Gendarmerie). Their identity is then transmitted to the judicial authority. The Defendants statistical database covers both the main offenses and the secondary offenses committed by the suspects. If a person is suspected of several offenses, they will appear as many times in the Defendants statistical database with the characteristics of each offense committed. The Mis en cause statistical database includes information on the residential address, gender, age, and nationality of the suspects who are natural persons. It also covers the suspects who are legal entities. It provides information on the offenses committed (nature of the offense – NATINF –, intra-family nature or not of the offense, etc.).
